Last revision 20 April 2001 HV on during SAA passages. TJD 8490 = 22 August 1991 Because of an error by FOT and/or CMS at GSFC, the high voltages were not turned off during the first two(?) SAA passage on TJD 8490. As a result, the gains were messed up. The AGC apparently was able to adjust the voltages back to what they should have been, partially after the first exit from the SAA and then fully after the second exit. There may have a third, more limited passage through the SAA but it did not have a noticable effect on the gains. This SAA passage was noted by someone on a plot of a current, probably when the data were first examined, but the event was not documented in a text file like this.
