Compton Gamma Ray ObservatoryApril 5, 1991 - June 4, 2000
The BATSE Pulsar team has monitored the spin frequency and pulsed flux of about 20 transient accreting X-ray binaries since the beginning of the CGRO mission, and has provided biweekly updates on the web since February 1997. Due to a NASA decision to deorbit the spacecraft, the satellite was destroyed on June 4, 2000. Mission histories for some sources can be selected directly below. We plan to provide additional histories in the future. |

Transient Outburst SummaryThe plot at right summarizes all outbursts of transient pulsed sources seen by BATSE since launch of the CGRO (using optimal analysis techniques and longer observation intervals than 1 day where necessary, not directly obtained from standard daily Monitor). |
